Ivan was raised in a business family and learned a lot about the importance of honesty and integrity with customers and staff through his mentors. Cody has been working as a beauty industry professional for more than 10 years. He graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in 2002 as a Beacon winner and member of the Phase II and Design Team . Since that time Cody has worked as a stylist and salon manager for top Utah salons as well as a consultant for beauty schools throughout the mountain west. Cody’s passion in the beauty industry is working with new people and helping them achieve their best self. He loves the look in his clients eyes when their new look is exactly what they wanted and the look in his students eyes when he turns a problem into a positive learning experience.

Elise has a personal interest in this institution. She has always loved the health and beauty industry and enjoys learning all she can about skin, beauty and product knowledge. She is dedicated in helping students find their way in the esthetic industry and hopes to share her commitment to this school with each one of them. She has worked with youth for many years and enjoys counseling and helping students with their needs. She received an education in Psychology and is thoroughly satisfied in the direction her career has gone. She also has a passion for guidance counseling and helping students accomplish their goals. Wendy Thomsen,

Wendy has worked as an Esthetician since 1999. Wendy apprenticed under esteemed Nurse Practitioner Carlotta Veasy, and works for Dr. Robert Orme MD. She has a diverse knowledge of spa therapies and product knowledge. She has been an instructor since 2010. Wendy has a great passion for the esthetics industry and loves education. She is available to answer all questions regarding enrollment and esthetics as well.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Kristen has always been interested in how to keep the body healthy. After managing a health gym, Kristen found her way into the world of esthetics. She enjoys helping students see that their goals for higher education are achievable and working with them to make it happen.
Natalie Puikkonen,
Licensed Master Esthetician/Instructor
Natalie Puikkonen has worked in the esthetic industry since 2001 and has been an instructor since 2006. She is a licensed Master Esthetician in Utah as well as a certified Make-up Artist. After attending her first skin care conference she was convinced that she would really enjoy a career in esthetics education and began to pursue that goal. Natalie enjoys make-up artistry and teaching hands-on esthetic skills.
Chantyl Hansen,

After attending two years at Snow College, Chantyl decided to join the SkinScience family. Though she enjoyed the traditional college experience, she decided she had a passion for skin care. After completing her Master Esthetics program with honors, she went on to work at a full service day spa where she learned essential skills about the industry and working with clients. Chantyl has a great desire to use her skills and knowledge she has acquired and share it with students who have the same passion about skin care as she does. Our Utah County campus wouldn’t be the same without her great outlook on life and skin!
Valerie Baker,
Licensed Master Esthetician/Instructor
If there is one word that best describes Master Esthetician Valerie Baker, it is passion. Whether kayaking off the coast of Vancouver among Killer Whales or preparing students to begin careers in the workplace, her passion guides her life. After moving from Wyoming to Utah, Valerie completed her Master Esthetics degrees with honors and now puts her extraordinary skills and professionalism into each class she teaches at Skin Science Institute. Her extensive experience includes working in a laser center, managing a spa and owning her own spa for three years. She truly is passionate about educating people on skin care and Esthetics, but she also saves time and energy to kayak, ice climb and cruise with her husband, Tyler..
JoAnn Douglass,
Licensed Master Esthetician/ Instructor
After graduating at the top of her class from SkinScience Institute in Salt Lake City, JoAnn proceeded to obtain her instructor’s certification from the State of Utah. She is a certified colorist and make-up artist. Her industry experience includes extensive work with Laser Esthetics, and a wide variety of facial techniques and chemical peel applications at Alpine Esthetics/Medical Day Spa. She loves to teach and prepare her students for the rigorous certifications required to practice.
Kacy Jones,
Licensed Master Esthetician/ Instructor
After completing her Master Esthetics program with honors, Kacy chose to further her esthetics career by completing an internship at the SkinScience Institute to help her on her way to becoming a licensed instructor. Before joining the SkinScience faculty she worked at a full service day spa where she learned the ins and outs of succeeding in a thriving esthetics business and working with clients. Kacy loves helping students find their place in the esthetics industry and enjoys sharing her love for skin care with every student she teaches
