To get an esthetician license in Utah, you must take 600 hours of classes from an accredited school, pass the Utah Basic Esthetician Exam and obtain a license from the Utah Cosmetology/Barbering Board. The Skin Science Institute is accredited by the Utah Division of Occupational & Professional Licensing.
Our basic classes cover important concepts such as how to administer spa treatments such as facials, how to keep skin healthy and fresh, and instruction in cosmetic procedures such as lash extensions classes, makeup application and more.
You will also learn important sanitation and sterilization procedures. Learning these skills is what makes the difference between a licensed professional esthetician and a salon trainee. Many of the procedures performed by estheticians could cause harm if done incorrectly by technicians who have not been trained properly. Clients could suffer infections, eye damage, skin damage and more.
